Alvin Law
This volunteer experience from abroad allowed me to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city and experience the simple life and unique customs of Nepal. Every day is precious in this journey. The most memorable thing is that we visited a school far away in the mountain (Sanjapu) and sang and played with a group of elementary school students on the playground. The innocent smiles on the faces of the students and the sincere joyful laughter made me feel that they cherish everything every day, have fun in a timely manner and are carefree. However, this made me reflect that I have never been grateful for all the things I have in Hong Kong. Throughout the volunteer journey, the six of us shared a lot of life stories with each other frankly and witnessed the true feelings of everyone. I would like to express our sincere gratitude to everyone for their love and kindness. |
