I actually didn't think too much before I decided to sign up for this volunteer trip of Light On. I knew that this journey was related to charity, but after I went there, I realized that I was also helped in this process of “helping” others. Seeing the villagers and children are so happy for small things reminds me that happiness is actually very simple; the different experiences of team members made me realize that happiness should not be taken for granted. For a week on the mountain, I shed tears almost every day, but they were tears of gratitude. I am very grateful to myself that I decided to participate in this journey of Light On, otherwise, I might not be able to have this feeling in Hong Kong. I believe that everything happens for a reason. If you are lucky enough to see this passage of mine, maybe it's time to let yourself experience something different! |
