A few years ago, the news reported that a major earthquake occurred in Nepal. At that time, many volunteers participated in disaster relief. And I really wanted to participate in it, but it didn’t work out. Until a year ago, I accidentally saw Pink on social media talking about volunteering at a children’s home in Nepal and rebuilding schools, and I was moved by her philosophy. After the introductory briefing (of Light On Your Path Journey), I participated in this journey without saying anything. I didn't expect that my friend actually came on this trip with me. Before departure, Pink asked us to design a handicraft and creative workshops for the local women and children respectively. Therefore, our team in Hong Kong met together in advance to discuss and purchase materials. Upon my first impression, the whole team was very dedicated to their mission. On the day of the workshops, I saw the local women and children were so creative and they participated in the workshops with joy and laughter. Although the trip was just a short few days, the people and things I encountered are still fresh in my mind.
Postscript: My friend said that she broke her record of not washing her hair for five days on the mountain, haha... |
