[Individual Volunteers from our Light On Your Path Journey] From the Trip in Feb 2020
Clarins Ng
As I didn’t want to experience the same situation due to the kind of awkward situation with my family a year before this trip, nor did I want to face the Lunar New Year alone, so I embarked on this journey. My original intention was to help others, but the result was that love came back to me in another way. I didn't give much, but I believed that what I got could be used for a lifetime.
It was a night after experiencing farming in the village. Everyone was blindfolded to enjoy the food. While I was contemplating on the hard work of how crops grew to contribute to the survival of human beings, I realized that I never cherish life, and I even wanted to destroy it. So I felt guilty and started crying. When I shared this with the group, the girl next to me very sadly and said to me, "Don’t die..." I frankly didn’t know this girl very well, and we are not communicating much today, but what she said still echoes in my mind sometimes when I feel extremely weak... somehow it consoles me. Thank you, thank you for being caring, even though when I wanted to give up...
There are many people and things waiting for us to care about in the world. On the edge of despair, maybe we think that we can do not much for them, but as long as we do everything and say every word with love, then this power will become something extraordinary that you don’t expect. May Light On continue to illuminate every corner of darkness with light and love. Thank you for your existence ❤️ All the best! |
